The Basic Assessment Application is for the proposed development of a sustainable middle income residential development on Portion 91 of Farm Matjesfontein 304, Plettenberg Bay.

The development concept includes ± 73 group housing stands with average erf sizes of ±375m². The houses will vary in size but will be built in a similar style that will create a harmonious development.

Ample open spaces and landscaped streets are incorporated into the design to enhance the quality of the neighbourhood.

The area of the property measures 838m2 and is located in a rural coastal landscape. The proposed development on Erf 8 entails a single double-storey (lower ground and ground floor) residential dwelling and associated decking, covering a combined area of approximately 360 m2 (43% of the site).

RE/3420 is 7693m2 of vacant land and is currently zoned for “Special Zone” use (refer to Appendix I for zoning certificate). The proposed development will be the construction of four (4) apartment blocks consisting of four (4) floors (including ground floor) each with a total of 36 units, a reception area, 81 parking bays, and paved pathways leading to future extension plans of a clubhouse and pool area.

The proposal is to develop a small exclusive beachfront security estate on Portion 66 and 67 of Farm Brakkloof 443, Plettenberg Bay.
