The property is zoned Agricultural I. Wilderness Fruit (Pty) Ltd is applying for an additional 11 hectares of cultivated land to practise their existing rights to plant Macadamia and Avocado Trees on Erf 385, Hoekwil. Historically, the agricultural lands have been utilised for farming practises; however, the project area of interest (PAOI) is currently heavily infested with alien invasive plants (AIPs). The site can be located at GPS coordinates 33º 57′ 13.87″ 22º 35′ 18.01″.

Location and Activity:
The Part 2 Amendment is for the Athina Estate development on Portion 66 and 67 of the Farm Brakkloof 443 in the Bitou Municipality, Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape. The Environmental Authorisation was issued on 31 July 2024 which approved the development of 9 residential stands with associated infrastructure and communal open space. A Part 1 Amendment was approved on 14 June 2024 for amendments to the SDP which included the realignment of the internal road and minor realignment of the five beachfront erven. The new proposed changes to the SDP are as follows:

Erf 301 Hoekwil is a vacant smallholding of 3.92ha in extent, located in Hoekwil (Wilderness Heights). The property overlooks the Touw River and Ebb & Flow Rest Camp (Garden Route National Park) to the east, and the Village of Wilderness to the west. Access to the property is from Whites Road leading from the Village around the Wilderness Heights area with a circular route from the west to east and again reaching Heights Road in the west. The section of Whites Road passing Erf 301 Hoekwil is a provincial road, Divisional Road 1621.
