Dr. Abigail Wolmarans
Abigail is an Environmental Scientist with a PhD focused on ecosystem health in relation to alien invasive plant infestations, with expertise in Botany and Entomology. She holds an MSc in Environmental Science with a focus on Herpetology and long-term ecological monitoring, as well as a BSc Honours degree in Biodiversity and Conservation Ecology.
She has experience working across natural and agricultural systems, with a strong focus on animal, plant and soil health. Her expertise supports environmental impact assessment processes, including biodiversity assessments, ecological monitoring, and the evaluation of environmental risks associated with development activities. She has a particular interest in sustainable land management and the integration of ecological principles into environmental planning and decision-making.
